The Communauté de Communes du Grand Dôle called on Blue Wire to run its new public venue, Locodôle, a fine restoration of the former railway station buffet.
The meeting rooms and co-working space managed by the Communauté de Communes in Dole, in the Jura, can now be booked through online room booking, at dole.spacebooking.online. Behind this public-facing page sits a combination of software and hardware linking payment, door opening and internal access management.

Until now, hiring a room has almost always involved an exchange of some kind: a phone call, an email, a visit to collect a key, sometimes a cheque. Each of these steps takes up staff time and, in practice, limits the available slots to office opening hours.
With the system now in service, the user picks a slot, pays by card and receives a PIN code. That code lets them reach their room at any hour, in any circumstances, with no third party needed when they arrive. The service becomes continuously available, including evenings and weekends.

The system is built on the SpaceBooking platform. It handles the whole chain, from checking availability through to physically opening the door, with no break between the software and the equipment installed on site.
